THE ROLE OF YOUTHS IN OUR WORLD
The previous day was the International Youth Day and amidst the celebration of Youths all over the world, I've come to realize that the youths are the most significant member of the world's population because a world without youths is dead and has no futur
The painful truth is this, not every youth of our time realizes this
Several youths have slipped into the arms of violence, fraud, theft and other criminal and notorious activities.
Many youths have preferred to be vicious rather than virtuous in their deeds
Until we as Youths open our eyes and come to the realization of how significant we are in the world, then the world will continue to unconsciously associate youths with infamous acts.
Why are Youths always the pioneer of evil doings and misdemeanor?
Why are we Youths wrongly using our strength and agilities?
As Youths, we are the strongest and smartest humans but if we continually focus our strength and brain on inappropriate acts, it would make no difference.
Instead we should focus our strength in our roles as youths.
So What are the role of youths in our present day world?
Below are some of the roles of Youths in our present day world:
1. Growth - Youth is simply the state of being young and growing is a continuous stage as Youths. As we are required to continually grow in every area of our lives, physically, intellectually, mentally, spiritually.. you can name it.
What makes you a Youth is your ability to grow
2. Discover yourself - Discover your true self, that is, who you really are. Find what you love and go get it, but work hard at it, hone your skills, become the best version of yourself. Pay attention to your needs, learn to know yourself.
3. Increase in knowledge - Another important role we youths have to play is to increase in knowledge, learn new things, master what has been learnt. We have to strive to be better than who we were the previous day.
Learning is an indispensable role of the youth
4. Invent new ideas - This simply means creativity, Our brains are still young and active; use it to create new things and ideas. Think outside the box, be innovative.
Youthfulness is associated with Creativity
5. Learn to listen - Listening is a very important skill especially for the Youths. DO NOT overlook the message and instructions of older people because they have long passed where we are heading to
6. Become a problem solver - As youths, we have to be aware of the problems the society faces, then focus on solving the ones we can according to our interests and abilities.
